
Debra Bennett, owner of core harmony™, is a Professional Mind/Body Personal Trainer and Life Coach. She takes a holistic, value driven approach to helping people create
happy, healthy, balanced lives.
Since starting her private practice 12 years ago, Debra has worked with a diverse population of clients in most areas of their lives. She has helped individuals, couples, families, corporations and universities. Her private clients have included: self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs, business managers, artists, athletes, nurses and students. She has been providing corporate wellness programs for the past 8 years to corporations in the Boston area. In 2005 she led a partnership to create specialized training for violin students at Boston University to prevent long term overuse injuries common in this art form/ profession.
Her areas of focus include: Integrative Fitness Programs for people of all ages, Weight Loss Coaching, Creative and Business Development, and Gender Specific Women’s & Men’ s programming.
She develops personalized fitness and lifestyle programs with her clients to support their individual preferences and life’s passions as well as providing unique programming to help maintain balance for those with repetitive use challenges due to hobbies, sport, occupation or health issues. Debra’s best gift to her clients is her faith and belief in them: their unique talents, creativity and resourcefulness.
She is nationally certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer, Pilates instructor & Yoga teacher. She is truly a Whole Life Coach, with certifications and training in Wellness Coaching, Weight Loss Coaching, Relationship Systems coaching and Non-Violent Communication skills. She is a Reiki II practitioner.
Education, certifications and memberships are with the following organizations: ACE (the American Council on Exercise); STOTT PILATES®; AFPA (American Fitness Professionals & Asscociates; Wellcoaches Corporation; The Aliveness Institute; Body Way; IDEA; CTI (Coaches Training Institute); Teleclass for You: the Professional Leader Program; with focus in the Iyengar, Meridian & Ashtanga yoga practices.
She brings to her practice the benefits of her life’s journey, 10 years of International Business Management and Consulting experience in the retail industry, and her degree from Syracuse University where she studied Fashion Design and Communications.
She has been in leadership roles both personally and professionally for most of her life. Best in roles that assist in start-up's and re-organizations/ re-inventions, positions held have included: a leadership council appointment in high school to begin a church youth group; elected leadership council positions in her college sorority Pi Beta Phi; selection as a manager at Laura Ashley to create and implement protocols and training for developing Factory Shop business; and start-up management and operations for Monsooon/Accessorize, UK as they entered the US market with their Boston, MA location.
Recognizing that the positive effects of health & wellness practices affect all areas of life, she left her corporate career in 1997 to help others learn to integrate and achieve
the same gifts in their lives.
She enjoys beauty and nature in all it's forms...
