What is your Corporate Vision around Wellness?

Design and implement the right plan
for the specialized needs of your team.

Your Vision’s Architecture is structured within your budget,
and is tailored to the size & specific needs of your people & location.

core corporate programs
inspire & motivate people to successful, healthy action
both at work and in their outside lives.

Your On-Site Wellness Studio
Whether you are just getting started with a few mats & a conference
room turned lunchtime yoga class, or creating a state of the art
On-Site Wellness area, a broad base of the very best vendors &
resources will be available to you.

Sorting through the myriad of equipment, mats, and companies can
offer a challenge in itself. core corporateintegrates the vast array
of choices from the personal training, yoga & pilates disciplines.
Map out a plan for where to start with some ideas of where to build
and grow as your program develops.

As well as considering space constraints and budgets, different types
of equipment are sometimes better suited to different body sizes
and types, and knowing which props to have on hand will
insure safety, comfort and proper form for every participant.

Finally, the feel of your area, no matter how big, small, temporary
or permanent is important. This is a gift you are giving your employees because you care about them. If your group is young and trendy, a
more high tech upscale 'feel' and 'atmosphere' will be more appealing
and increase use. A group of female physicians in private practice,
may prefer a more warm, cozy, nurturing yoga space to rejuvinate
and revive when able to take a short break between patients.

Whatever your needs,
we'll work together to create a space
is that is positive, healthy and inviting.

wellness today
While 100 years ago, life expectancy was most affected by infectious disease management and public health conditions, today preventable chronic disease is the area of greatest concern. Preventable chronic diseases include: hypertension, cancer, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, pulmonary conditions and mental illness. The U.S. spends 277 billion per year to treat just these seven of the most common (DeVol et al.2007), and only 3 years ago half of the U.S.population sufferered from at least one chronic condition (Anderson et al. 2005).

Chronic diseases affect not just our wellness and life satisfaction, but also our productivity (PFCD 2007), including worker absenteeism and 'presenteeism' (decreased performance while on the job, due to illness). The good news is while health concerns challenge employees' well-being and ability to be a fully engaged and present part of the team, hope is in sight. New research supports that preventative wellness programming is a worthy investment in both your employees' health care management & healing as well as the health and well-being of your company's bottom line.

the bottom line
In a 2 year work based health initiative study done by Life Time Fitness and Medica Health Insurance, results by exercising members included:
~ Decrease healthcare claims by 33.6% per member, per month
~ Decrease physician claims by 13%
~ Decrease prescription claims by 9%
(Business Wire 2007)

In a study of attendees of a single on-site workshop on self-care* at Berk-Tek, a manufacturing company, by Capital BlueCross and Pennsylvania Blue Shield, results included the following:
~ 18.4% decrease physician office visits
~ 20% decrease emergency room visits
~ Almost $40 of savings per employee in 12-months of outpatient services

*Note: Workshop attendees in this study received a 'HealthyLife Self-Care Guide' at the end of the worksop, but no physical exercise was involved.
